Kentucky Senator Bourbon Wins Prestigious ASCOT Award

July 19, 2022

The news comes as Kentucky Senator Spirits releases its newest small batch whiskey.

LEXINGTON, KY — Last month, Kentucky Senator Bourbon was honored with a famed ASCOT Award by the American Spirits Council of Tasters. The award distinguishes the craft and taste of Kentucky Senator Bourbon’s first small-batch Bourbon whiskey and the ASCOT Award comes as Kentucky Senator Spirits, LLC is releasing its third limited-edition Bourbon, named the John G. Carlisle release.

The ASCOT Awards is a highly regarded spirits competition where distillers have products blindtested against thousands of other spirits on an international scale. The ASCOT judges have recognized Kentucky Senator Bourbon with a Gold Award. The judges had this to say about the unique taste of Kentucky Senator Bourbon’s first release named for Senator Alben Barkley: “Rich caramel, cherry cola, and lots of oaky tannins, here is a nice whiskey from the peanut buttery nose to the pleasantly drying finish.”

Kentucky Senator Bourbon’s small batch offerings have been highlighted by Forbes and the company is anticipating the success of its third release, which is hitting shelves this week. The John G. Carlisle release is available at liquor stores, bars and restaurants throughout Kentucky, with single barrel private selections at Liquor Barn, Party Mart and DEP retail outlets. It is also available at BourbonOutfitter.com and will be featured at Jack Rose Dining Saloon in Washington, D.C.

Each new release of Kentucky Senator Bourbon is named after a U.S. Senator who originated from Kentucky. To learn more about why John G. Carlisle was chosen for Kentucky Senator’s third release, visit the company website at KentuckySenatorBourbon.com
